The Board of Directors (BoDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company KP-EZDMC has reiterated that there is no threat to Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) due to resignation of the company CEO.

In a press release issued here on Monday stated the CEO KPEZDMC Saeed Ahmed has resigned due to personal reasons. Much before his resignation, the BoD had appointed Adil Salauddin, Chief Commercial Officer as acting CEO with further authority as Saeed Ahmed had preceded on leave.

According to the statement, the Rashakai SEZ project is on fast track completion and will not be affected due to resignation of the CEO. BoD has already initiated process of hiring of a new CEO through a merit base, transparent and competitive process. It furthermore maintained a new competent office will soon be hired. Registration of CEO is not a question at all on good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the statement said. It added that the BoD has already filled the gap and is fully cognizant of appointing a full-time CEO after completing the selection process. The acting CEO is the senior most officer of KPEZDMC and fully capable to head the company, complete projects and provide strategic leadership during interim setup, the statement concluded.
